RGB HUB

Overview

RGBHUB™ is a multi-drop data network for Smart LEDs, as opposed to a daisy-chained network used by many others

Features

Allows the strings to have stubs that dead-end, with no need to wrap back around for daisy-chaining
Allows for a central point of signal distribution that runs out to un-looped and un-terminated ends
Allows the controller to send data to ONLY those LEDs that need to change color or brightness, potentially reducing overhead
Allows the wire carrying power and data signals to remain intact / unbroken as LEDs simply tap off the bus – helps maintain tensile strength
Supports heavier “bus” wire for longer runs, where strings tap off with smaller wire, for designs like icicles or curtains

Single Data Line, to reduce cost and complexity compared to Clock + Data systems
5VDC Power and Ground allows USB powered systems and some sets come with 120VAC power adapters
Between 500 and 800 LEDs supported at 60Hz frame update rate from a single controller
Patented LED design (Shenzhen Hysiry Technology Co., Ltd)
High PWM frequency allows fast video capture without rippling or flickering
High efficacy LEDs allow more light with less current and allow more LEDs to be connected
